Let’s face it. Amazon has been our go-to place to shop for basically everything under the sun. Why? It’s instant gratification – easy to find items that are at our door within a day or two. Oh, and let’s not forget about the free shipping if you’re a prime member. Why would we want to shop anywhere else? From beauty to home decor to fashion and electronics, Amazon is truly a one-stop-shop. It’s become quite an addiction to many of of us. Yes. My name is Erica and I am addicted to shopping at Amazon.
There have been so many things I have bought through Amazon that I both recommend and keep going back to. Products I used to spend more than I would have liked to, I’ve found a cheaper alternative or something that works far better. The reviews are everything. They are something I rely on to find the amazing goodies that I do find.
Thieves Household Cleaner – I love this stuff! This popular product from Young Living not only smells like Christmas, it lasts forever. Just mix with water, store in a dark glass spray bottle and use it wherever you need to clean. It’s what I grab for my kitchen countertops, appliances and to spray on my floor, before I steam.
Medix 5.5 Anti-Aging Body Wash & Lotions – I used to use Maelys products. You know the ones you see pushed on all social media platforms. Sure, they are good. But girl, if you haven’t tried them, some of their products BURN. Not only that, they are quite pricey. I ordered from them a couple times and did see a difference, but then decided I wanted to find something else that was less expensive. That’s when I came across Medix 5.5 products on Amazon. They have a plethora of lotions for all your aging concerns and the reviews back up the product. Sold! I’ve been using Medix now for a few months and I absolutely love them. The body wash has a cooling element and also exfoliates, creating the perfect base for their anti-aging lotions and serums. These have become a morning and nightly routine for me and I have definitely noticed a difference. My main concern was the loss of elasticity in my upper thighs, which has definitely improved with the help from these products.
Amazon Basics Batteries – I know, this is a strange one, since I mostly discuss beauty, fashion and style. But batteries are a staple in my household and they go fast! Also, the name brand ones are just too expensive to keep buying when you constantly need to replace. I discovered Amazon Basic Batteries around Christmas time a few years ago and I haven’t gotten back to the others since. You get a bunch for a good price and yes, they work just as good – if not better. Stock up on them now for the holiday when you find yourself needing them the most . . . and thank me later.
Hydromate Electrolyte Drink Powder Mix – I’m sure you’ve heard of the popular Liquid IV that you can add to your water bottles for extra hydration and vitamins. It’s another popular social media push and the teenagers seem to love it. I discovered this when I was putting together a care package for my sons in college. Burning the midnight oil and taking part in “extracurricular activities” can lead to fatigue, dehydration and illness. I was going to get Liquid IV until I saw the price for what you got. Ridiculous. You’re paying for the name and popularity. This alternative is just as good, less money and had money son’s approval. They loved it. Score!
Thank Me Later Eye Primer – Forget about keeping your eye shadow on at a high, name brand cost. I was skeptical about this because of the low price point, but the reviews once again sold me . . . and, I’m so glad they did. This primer does exactly what you want it to do – keeps your eye shadow in place and on your lids all day long. I’m never going back to the ones I used to buy . . . aka – Too Faced. Don’t get me wrong, I love Too Faced makeup, but this primer has them beat.
Dr. Teals Body Wash – Amazing! It’s my favorite body wash by far and the price for the amount of bottles you get is just as amazing. The eucalyptus and spearmint scent brings an energizing, yet, spa-like-feel to your shower and bath routine, while the Epsom salt detoxifies as you clean. It’s a great one to send with your kids to college, as well because it will last them the all year.
Westmore Beauty 60 Second Eye Effects Firming Gel – You may have noticed I have mentioned this one before. Guess what, I’m going to keep mentioning it. You may want to get used to this name. Thanks to genes, I’ve been “blessed” with puffy eyes. I’ve tried them all. And, I mean ALL! Nothing has worked. They all leave a weird residue and creases that just make the eyes look even worse. After discovering this brand on Facebook, I decided to do a little research for myself. The positive reviews and before/after pictures spoke for themselves. Not only that, this company was formed by a family who were hugely successful movie makeup artists. Do a google search – the story is rather interesting. You put a little on your finger, pat it on and fan it dry – and voila! The results are AMAZING!
